8th Holborn entered three teams in this year’s Winter Mad Hike, competing against 14 other teams from around North London Scout District.

This year the competition was based at Theydon Bois on the edge of Epping Forest, an easy tube ride from Holborn for us.

Teams navigated around 8 checkpoints, completing tasks and challenges along the way.

We managed our best performance in some years, achieving third place for our senior team and fourth place for our junior team.

Maybe next year we’ll be bringing home the coveted Maharajah’s sword trophy.
